Bring It All Home – The Exhibition
Date: Fri 7 Mar – Sun 18 May
Venue: Paisley Museum
Gerry Rafferty is one of Paisley’s most beloved sons. His fantastic musical legacy and abiding fondness for his home town are celebrated in this exhibition which honours his outstanding contribution to songwriting.
His close friend and fellow Paisley Buddie John Byrne shared his love of music and designed many of Gerry’s record covers.
Personal artefacts owned by Gerry have been generously loaned to Paisley Museum by his daughter Martha Rafferty and join work by John Byrne from Renfrewshire Council’s own collection.
Martha has curated the exhibition in her father’s memory, together with Andrea Kusel, Paisley Museum’s Curator of Art.
This unique and one-off collection features everything from guitars to album artwork and gold discs to hand-written lyrics
Bring It All Home brings the best of Rafferty and Byrne back to their home town.
Paisley Museum is open Tuesday to Saturday (and public holidays) 11am to 4pm, Sundays 2pm to 5pm.
